Theseminar presents three classic strategic approaches to working in a foreign environment with people and teams from a completely different culture.

Each approach will supply the tools and techniques for solving typical multicultural problems, with examples and case scenarios drawn from European, Asian and North American culture.

A fourth approach will discussed: the "Fourth Way" this is innovative and is still in the development phase, with fields of application and comparisons to the three classic models.

- The Anthropological-Cultural Approach: all you need to know about the culture of each country to enable you to work there
- The Convergence Approach: a single business model, one rule for all cultures
- The Contingency Approach (the Hofstede Method): classifications of about 90 national cultures with key indicators depending on the problem faced
- The Fourth Way, to go further than the preceding strategies: The Black Box Approach
- Development possibility of the Fourth Way: the future of multicultural relations
